    To provide a digitally-led behaviour change programme to reduce the number of inappropriate attendances at Gloucestershire’s two emergency departments.

  • How

    We developed a bespoke web application, app and API that provided information about opening times, waiting times, advice and services and gave the user access to treatment advice for their minor conditions.

  • Outcomes

    An 8% reduction in emergency department attendances in the first week alone of the campaign, and a corresponding 8% increase in attendances at the county’s community minor injury and illness units.
