Against a range of local and national performance targets, the Council’s service sat in the bottom quartile. Capacity needed to be released to focus on a more joined-up approach to improve financial inclusion.
Using the ICE model for service transformation, we built relationships within the service to achieve buy-in from across the organisation. This was vital in creating sustained change.
An 80% reduction in failure demand into the benefit service and identifiable cash savings of £150,000. As a result of this work, Tewkesbury Borough Council was recognised at the IRRV performance awards.
