We’re proud to be launching Healthy Lifestyles Warwickshire

We’re delighted to be working with partners across Warwickshire to deliver a new, more connected way for people across the county to live healthier lives through Healthy Lifestyles Warwickshire.

Commissioned by Warwickshire County Council, the new service replaces the existing Fitter Futures programme and introduces a more joined-up, personalised approach to wellbeing support.

At the heart of this new model is a simple shift: making it easier for people to get the right support, at the right time, in a way that works for them.

Rather than navigating multiple services, residents will have a single point of contact through dedicated health coaches. We’ll work alongside people to understand the behaviours, motivations, and barriers shaping their everyday decisions, offering practical, tailored support across:

  • Stop smoking
  • Weight management
  • Physical activity
  • Alcohol advice

This more holistic approach is designed to support meaningful, lasting improvements to health and wellbeing. It will also provide a richer understanding of how wider determinants of health are affecting communities across Warwickshire, helping shape support around what local people need most.

The service will work closely with community and voluntary sector partners, recognising the vital role they play in supporting residents’ health and wellbeing. It will also align more closely with primary care, with NHS Health Checks delivered through GP practices to improve access and uptake, particularly among those most at risk of long-term conditions.

A decade of commitment to Coventry and Warwickshire

This launch builds on a long-standing relationship with the region. For more than ten years, we’ve worked across Coventry and Warwickshire alongside local authorities, NHS partners and communities to deliver behaviour change and wellbeing support that is rooted in the area and shaped by the people who live here.

That continuity matters. It means we understand the local context, the existing networks and the challenges facing residents, allowing us to design services that reflect what we’ve learned on the ground over many years. Healthy Lifestyles Warwickshire is the next step in our ongoing commitment to supporting healthier communities across the region.

Designed around real lives

For us, this is about designing services that work in the real world. We bring more than 25 years of experience in behaviour change, working with communities, healthcare systems and local authorities to create support that reflects people’s everyday lives, not ideal scenarios.

This approach moves beyond one-size-fits-all interventions and focuses on understanding the context people are living in and what makes change possible for them.

Stuart Jackson, CEO at ICE, said:

“This service is about making support feel human again, more connected, and easier to reach.

Too often, people are asked to navigate separate services for separate parts of their health and life. But life doesn’t work that way; these life and health challenges don’t sit in neat boxes, and neither should the support.

By bringing everything together through a single relationship with a coach, we can understand what’s really going on for someone – and support change that actually lasts.”

He added:

“Our focus has always been on behaviour change that works in the real world, not in theory. That means combining insight, empathy and evidence to human-centred design that supports people’s lives, rather than expecting people to fit around services.

We’ve been proud to work across Coventry and Warwickshire for over a decade. Building on that with Warwickshire County Council means creating a service that doesn’t just reach more people; it helps them take real, meaningful action for their health and their life.”

Supporting a smooth transition

The service launches from 1 July, with existing stop smoking service users transferred to ensure continuity of support. During the transition period, residents will continue to be able to access elements of the current service, while new pathways and waiting lists are opened for the updated offer.

We’re excited to see Healthy Lifestyles Warwickshire launch and to help more people across the county take practical steps towards healthier, more sustainable lifestyles.
