ICE Creates B Corp Certification: Accountability, Ethics and Growth

Twenty-six years ago, ICE Creates was built on a simple belief: that the right story, told the right way, can shift behaviour and change lives. We didn’t have a framework for that. We had conviction.

B Corp certification is what happens when conviction meets accountability.

The eighteen months it took to achieve certification weren’t a box-ticking exercise. They were a stress test of how we pay people, how we source suppliers, how we govern ourselves, and how we treat the communities our work touches. The rigour is the point.

What I find most compelling about the B Corp movement is the company we’re now in. Patagonia has used it to hold itself to environmental commitments that go far beyond what the market demands. Innocent Drinks built its business on it before “purpose-led” became a marketing phrase. These aren’t organisations that stumbled into values. They grew through them.

That’s the version of ICE Creates we’ve purposefully set out to build.

For our clients — the NHS teams, local authorities, and community organisations we work alongside — this matters in a specific way. You deserve partners whose values are verified, not just stated. Who can stand behind their work not just creatively, but ethically? B Corp gives you a standard to hold us to.

For future partners and collaborators, it signals something else: that we’re serious about impact in the fullest sense. Not just outputs and reach, but how we operate while we get there.

We’re also in the middle of the most ambitious period in ICE’s history — our AI platform Nudj, new collaborations, and new tools for behaviour change at scale. B Corp doesn’t slow any of that down. It makes it better.

This is who we’ve always been trying to be. Now there’s evidence.
