The Trust had been in special measures for over 3 years when they commissioned ICE to design and deliver a leadership programme for the top 90 senior clinical and corporate leaders.
To enable the Trust’s vision: “To deliver outstanding healthcare to our community, delivered with pride” leaders needed to be able to think, do and work in different ways to transform services and teams within the health and care system.
The Horizons and Dynamics Leadership Development Programme supported a shift in the culture of the organisation to one where the focus was on developing relationships, collaborative working and improvement becoming
‘business as usual’.
Building trust and handling conflict effectively, as well as managing resilience, were regarded as essential leadership competencies for the demands of the transformation which was to be at scale and pace.
